Subsequently, she ran her own successful Asian home décor business in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for a number of years. With the founding of Bluetoffee, she returned to her first love – gems and jewelry.

Nora’s family has a long history in Bangkok, and although she has travelled extensively all over the world, she remains very proud of her Thai heritage. On December 5,2003, His Majesty, King Rama IX bestowed Aphismai Phayackaporn with the Royal Thai Decoration , “Member of the Most Admirable Order of Direkgunabhorn” for her services to the Kingdom.

Nora has been a lover for good clothes, fashion, and style. She also has a strong background in Jewelry design acquired through well-known institutions, such as GIA, AIGS, and the Revere Academy of Jewelry Art.

Nora is an established jewelry professional accredited by the Gemological Institute of Gemological Sciences (GIA) in Carlsbad, California, and a Gemologist certified by the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS) in Bangkok, Thailand.

She holds a BBA (Magna Cum Laude) in Business Computer from Assumption University in Bangkok, Thailand, and obtained her MBA from Kent State University in Ohio, U.S.A.
Nora began her career as a management consultant with Accenture, a leading management consultancy, specializing in IT Systems Design and Implementation. She was trained at Accenture’s Center for Professional Education in Chicago, Illinois and Manila.
